The ending of the last class was rather dramatic. The other two teachers and I were asked by the students to stand on the stage and pose for their cameras. This, again, satisfied my vanity completely. I was standing there as If I had been a Hollywood star walking on the red carpet for Oscar, finding it difficult to meet the flash lights from various direction and keeping smiling all the time. Anyhow, it was of great fun. Moreover, through this chaos nobody would remember that I once said I would sing a song as they requested.
Despite the low income, the last three weeks has been great! And I feel so lucky that all my colleagues were so friendly to me, offering me help whenever I need, and most of my pupils were really nice kids. Sometimes I feel a little bit guilty that I have sort of lied to them, i.e., they are not only my first class of junior high students, in fact they are the first who have called me teacher ever. Well, they don’t need to know about that, I have been a perfect teacher no matter what.
I’ll miss those kids.
